¡Ø Purpose of Our Trip

Aren¡¯t you guys are getting tired of the same old trips where you drink soju the whole time and get wasted? This spring, a new trip awaits you.
Another project presented by YouthCLIP; travel!
It will be a fresh and different way to experience Korean culture for foreign students, and even for Korean students!
So how about joining our trip where you can embark on a unique theme trip with foreign or Korean buddies?

¡Ø Schedule
¤· Date : May 14th ~ May 15th (overnight trip)
¤· Schedule
    Gather at Yong-San train station
> Visit a Korean conventional market called ¡°Moon-San 5 day market¡±.
> Take a walk around Pyeonghoa-Nuri Park after touring at DMZ (Demilitarized Zone)
> Various exciting games and activities including cooking contest with group members at Yeoncheon Coreanavel Village
> Wake up the next day and engage in activities concerning experiencing the village.

¡Ø Where Are We Going?
¨ç Moon-San Five Day Market
Foreigners usually tend to describe their impression of Korea as  ¡®generous¡¯ and ¡®warm-hearted.¡±
We CLIPees were wondering where we could easily and most clearly show the Korean generosity, and we instantly thought of Korean conventional markets. And as we were searching for the most adequate conventional markets, this Moon-San Market seemed to be the perfect place to show us ample kindness.
While visiting this market, we are planning on buying various fresh ingredients at lowest costs you can ever imagine for the cooking contest at night and have a taste of different delicious finger-lickin¡¯ Korean foods.

¨èDMZ (Demilitarized Zone)
Korea is the only divided nation in the entire globe. And although Koreans do not actually feel this state of division directly, foreign students tend to think of Korea as dangerous, since war can break out at any time. However, even these foreign students tend to be interested, yet worried, about Korea¡¯s state of armistice, so we decided to show them DMZ and give them opportunities to feel the devastation and sorrow of war with Korean friends.

¨é Pyeonghoa-Nuri Park
Have you guys ever been to Pyeonghow-Nuri Park, where our every wish for reunification is breathing? We will have opportunities to take a look at artifacts during war-time and tour around the exhibit hall to pay respects to the soldiers and the sufferings during war.
And how about feeling a fresh breeze upon a wide and open park? The air around this park is said to be particularly nicer and fresher, and it could become a perfect resting place for the students who had to endure exhaust gas in the city the whole time. We will also be able to enjoy looking at beautiful sculptures.

¨ê Yeoncheon Coreanavel Village
Korean and foreign students will gather together and cook delicious Korean foods with the ingredients bought from the Moon-san market. Don¡¯t forget the cooking contest!! Show off your cooking skill to everybody!!
We will also play different games and this is going to be so much fun that everybody will become best friends with each other without even realizing it!!!
And after waking up the next morning, we will engage in farm village activities!
